It was a beautiful, snowy day for a run.

I seem to be repeating this saying every day: “If March comes in like a lion, it’ll go out like a lamb.”

Probably more to make myself feel better than because I really believe this old adage. I’m getting tired of running in the cold!

When my alarm went off, I was surprised because I usually hear the school bus a few minutes before I get up. I figured maybe they had cancelled school for Daylight Saving time or something.

It wasn’t until I had already laced up my sneakers that I decided to take a peek outside. What a winter wonderland–in the middle of March!

I considered not going for a run, but something about having this whole snowy world to myself for awhile was appealing. I don’t know if you’ve ever noticed, but the snow casts a blanket of stillness across nature. Animals and people alike tend to stay where it’s safe and warm as long as that white stuff is on the ground.

It was a relaxing run, albeit cold, and I managed not to fall flat on my butt!

Here are the stats:

Thanks for keeping up with me. I would love to hear or see pictures of how things looked where you are!

Happy Running!
