I’ve been flirting with the barrier for the past few weeks, but couldn’t make it over the hump. Well, that all ended tonight! Mile 3 was completed in 7:04!!!
Feeling good about that.
Okay, okay, I’ve basically been strutting around the house since I got back.
But can’t a guy bask in the glory of his accomplishment for awhile?

My bubble kind of burst a little when my wife got home. Apparently the kids were screaming for the whole ride back from her parents’ house. An hour of screaming kids in a small space…that’s a buzzkill. My accomplishments meant nothing to her at that point.
So, it was daddy duty for bedtime. Stories, prayers and tucking them in. My favorite!
Let me stop stalling now and give you the stats:
Getting really close to that sub-7 mile time! My fastest in cross country was 6:18. Got away to go to get back there…
Until next time…
