Another breezy cold day here. Perfect timing for a longer run!
Not many people were out in the neighborhood this afternoon, so I snuck out for a 4-miler. That means doing a few figure-8’s up and down the hills of my subdivision.
What’s great about running here, is that it’s all hills. But not long hills. You run a few tenths of a mile straight uphill, then level off and turn to run back down. Makes for great training runs, because you have the intensity varying so quickly.
I have never done hill sprints here, but there are a couple of streets that would be perfect for that!
Anyway, as my runs get longer they also get more repetitive if I stay in the neighborhood. Fortunately, we have a running/biking Trail a few miles from my house. It’s about 10 miles or so in length, which makes it perfect for miniMarathon training!
Do you have a good place to run near you?
Here are my stats today:
A little slower today, but I chose to do the steepest hills at the beginning. Running one way is easier than running it the opposite!
Until next time…
